Lahore: Popular singer Jawad Ahmed has announced to create a political party named as “Barabari” on the 1st May 2014. He announced this news while addressing a seminar at Aiwan-e-Iqbal Lahore on the occasion of International Labour Day. Jawad Ahmed said that Laborers are asset of our country and he would fight for their rights.
Well known singer turned to be politician said that he has established political party named as “Barabari” for the labourers, students and engineers so that they can now rule the country for its prosperity and success. He said that Government should provide facilities to Labor as they are great resource of our country and we should give them an evenhanded amount of salary through which they can lead their family and children in a better way. He believed that even children in Pakistan are engaged in the worst forms of child labor including bonded labor, primarily in dangerous forms of agriculture.
1st of May has been declared as the traditional holiday in Pakistan to promote and encourage the international labor associations. Labor unions throughout Pakistan organize seminars and rallies where union leaders deliver speeches emphasizing the history of Labor Day and its importance.
Jawad Ahmad is a famous Pakistani singer and musician as he has won Lux Style Award Best Singer in 2003, Sitara-e- Esar, Tamghai Imtiaz and Polio award in the year 2006 whereas Indus Music award in 2007. Jawad first captured Pakistan’s attention as a person who called attention to the transcendental existence of God through the song ‘”Allah Meray Dil kay Andar” which most say showed a way to inner peace. He has published many albums and when the chaotic earthquake in Pakistan struck, he sang at many fundraisers and supported rebuilding his country.
