TDAP Corruption Scandal: Amin Fahim Arrest Warrant Issued Again

Amin Fahim Yousaf Raza GillaniKarachi: Federal Anti-Corruption Court has issued arrest warrant of Senior Vice-Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Makhdoom Amin Fahim in the Trade and Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) corruption scandal. However former Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani who was also suspected in this case has granted interim bail from the court.

According to the details, 12 cases were heard on Thursday in which ATC issued non-bailable arrest warrants against Amin Fahim for 12 October due to failing to attend court. However, head of PPP Parliamentarian and former Trade Minister Amin Fahim is found to be involved in the 7 cases of TDAP scandal. Sources claimed that suspect Amin Fahim is charged for the loss of billions to the national exchequer.

On the other hand, lawyer of Yousuf Raza Gilani, Farooq Hamid Naek made his presence in the court and filed application for exemption of Yousuf Raza Gilani which got accepted by the court. Meanwhile court has also granted bail to other nominated suspects of new other cases including Zubair and Tariq against surety bond of Rs100,000 each.

However, court has been adjourned till 12th October while confirming the bail of accused Asim Rizwani.
