In the upper plains of Indus, river Indus, Satluj, Channab and river Jhelum flow. This range is spread from Himalaya and in the south of Salt Mountain and Solomon Mountain to Arabian Sea in the east of Khet Kher. The dominant part of this area is called Punjab.

The upper plain is very fertile due to the existence of many rivers therefore; the main occupation of the people is cultivation. Although all the food crops are grown here but wheat and rice amongst the food crops and cotton amongst the cash crops are the main.
