Traffic Warden Guiding People For Seat Belt in Karachi

traffic-warden-karachiThis traffic warden (who is shown in video) around ocean mall roundabout in Clifton (Karachi) just came right in front of my car today with his smiling face and hand gestures pointing me to put on my seat belt.

I happily did so, I noticed he did the same with every car passing by. In a country like Pakistan its often frustrating to deal with people having no respect for law and ignoring their own and others safety. Instead of sitting in his office or stopping cars for bribe he choose to be on the middle of the road to make people aware patiently and politely.

I was excited and wanted to see him doing this again and tried to capture the rare moment. This time he stopped me first for not having my seat belt that I just removed purposely while taking turn and then he instructed me to keep my phone away while driving. What a great role model he is, someone who seems to loves his thankless job and is inspiring both his department and citizens to respect law. Lots of respect for what he is doing.
