MNA uses development fund in his/her constituency but last PPP government gave away Rs. 60 million to Firdous Ashiq’s NGO. From this money six buses and six coaches were bought by government and was given to NGO SHADE. There are reports that former Minister for Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan used her sources to get this grant of Rs. 60 million for her NGO.
Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan was elected MNA in 2002 from PML-Q in Sialkot and in 2007 general elections she won her MNA elections on PPP seat. Dr. Firdous is famous as “Aapa” in Sialkot.
