Wapda Town, Lahore – Green, Serene And Secure

Located near Thokar Niaz Baig Road, Wapda Town is one of Lahore’s recently established gated communities. Due to the fact that it is relatively secure and provides residents with easy access to quality amenities , it is becoming one of Lahore’s most popular residential areas. Of houses, parks and recreation…. Spread over 1,000 acres Wapda Town is divided into two phases which are futher divided into 10 blocks. If you drive through the wide, tree-lined roads , you will see that in addition to houses, each block consists of a commercial area, a park and a mosque, as well as an electric grid station (which ensures that residents have electricity 24 hours a day). A wedding lawn and a sports complex, in addition to several healthcare facilities and educational institutions are located in Wapda Town as well, all of which add to the area’s appeal.

Ample shopping options… Several grocery stores, bakeries, pharmacies and tailoring shops can be found at the commercial pockets located in each block; if you are looking for a bargain, then make sure you visit the weekly Sunday Bazaar. Although there no restaurants in Wapda Town with the exception of few roadside eateries that specialise in desi barbeque, several fining restaurants can be found in Johar Town, which is a 20-minute drive away.

The real estate take…. Approximately 75% of Wapda Town is built up; vacant plots are available for commercial and residential use. Commercial property options primarily include retail space in low-rise buildings and standalone shops, while residential property is limited to houses. Property prices have increased by 10 to 20% in the last five years, while rentals have increase further since property is in high demand.

In a nutshell… Even though Wapda Town lacks entertainment and fine-dining avenues, the fact that it is quiet, green and relatively secure has ensured that it has become one of Lahore’s prime residential areas in a very short span of time.
