Waseem Akhtar Receives Legal Notice from Rangers

Waseem AkhtarKarachi: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM)’s leader Waseem Akhtar has received legal notice from rangers on account of imposing false allegations on Pakistani rangers during a live talk show program. According to a press release, spokesman of rangers has claimed that Waseem Akhtar accused rangers for stealing hides of sacrificial animals and their contribution in other constitutional activities.

Spokesman of rangers also said that MQM’s leader accused rangers during a talk show of private channel which aired on 29th September as his fake accusations are demoralizing paramilitary force. He further added that rangers are used to work for the country’s integrity which should be disrespected by anyone through baseless allegations. It is a conspiracy to blight the image of rangers which will tolerate in any case, he added.

Moreover, spokesman told that the legal notice has sent to MQM’s leader Waseem Akhtar under section 8 of Defamation Ordinance 2002. It is worth mentioning here that Waseem Akhtar is well-known politician who has been associated with MQM for many years. Currently he is serving is an active member of National Assembly as elected from NA-251 (Karachi-XIII) constituency. He also owns a Real State business and was born on 25th of November in 1955 at Karachi.
