Pakistan former captain Wasim Akram is in limelight now a days because he had an engagement Australian citizen Shaniera Thompson. Wasim Akram has announced that soon he will marry his fiancée Shaniera Thompson and she will live in Pakistan.
Recently Shaniera landed in Karachi with Wasim Akram (Wasim lives in Karachi) in holy month of Ramadan. When she was seen at the airport she was wearing scarf which was appreciated by large number of people. However when Wasim and Shaniera went to Lahore after Eid she was not wearing scarf. Now some of the photos of Wasim and Shaniera Thompson have spread on internet which is criticized a lot as Wasim and his fiancée Shaniera are sitting very close which is not acceptable in Islam and Pakistan. Many people on social media have objected on Wasim’s photo and said that Wasim is following the path of controversial actress Veena Malik.
One of Wasim Akram’s fan while commenting on his latest photo said that it sad to see that Wasim still is not married with Shaniera but his photos are very objectionable. The Sultan of Swing Wasim Akram when reached Karachi airport said that he wants that people should give space to his private life and should not interfere in his personal life.
A young fast bowler who play club level cricket in Lahore said that these type of photos wills surely hurt Wasim’s image in Pakistani society where youngsters idolizes him as fast bowler.
