What Is Reality Of Khaadi Scandal?

Kaadi logoKhaadi is one of the largest apparel brand leading companies in Pakistan. But, now, company is facing a very hard and outraged protest against itself in Karachi and Lahore. This campaign against the industry has been initiated by its employees on the matter of inhumane workplace condition and employee rights.

A series of protest demonstrations have been displayed by the works since last few weeks, and they alleged that they are facing an unfair labor practices by the Kaadi’s top management.

The activities accused; a young girl employee had committed suicide because of top management behavior and workforce. She committed suicide because she was penalized severely for taking an unscheduled lunch break, protesters alleged.

The protesters, mostly employees, claimed a score of employees have been terminated from their jobs unfairly.

In addition, the worker also claimed that they are made to work more than 12 hours a day, even they are force to work on public holidays-Sunday and Saturday.

While on the other hand, the top management of the company rejected the allegations and called it an understood conspiracy against the industry.

On the issue civil society also stand by the workers for their fair rights and lunch a huge campaign on social media, especially twitter hits a trend on the issue.
