When Musharraf Visited India

In Delhi General Pervaiz Musharraf and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh tried to distance the nuclear armed subcontinent from the powerful shadow of a complex historical animosity sustained by unresolved bilateral disputes. In the three rounds of talks the two leaders dealt with specific issues: one dispute settlement, two make progress towards resolving the Kashmir dispute and three reinforce top level political will to continue forward on the stony yet essential path of peace and normalization.

A top level Pakistan-India interaction continues, keenness within the current political leadership to address the Kashmir dispute is evident. Even India appears to see wisdom to settle rather than merely contain the dispute.
