Which Car Will Be Launched In Pakistan In 2015?

Car enthusiasts have much to be excited about in 2015, given that several car launches have brands (globally as well as in Pakistan) this month. To start off, the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, a common fixture on the streets of Pakistan, is back with a face lift. Expected to be priced between Rs 14 and 19.5 million, industry experts have hinted that the 2015 Prado will have a V4, 2.7-litre engine, while a higher-priced ‘deluxe’ version will feature a V6, four-litre engine. Both variants will be equipped with a redesigned front grille and tail lamps, HID low-beam headlights, LED daytime running lights, along with vehicle stability and traction controls.

Not to be overtaken, Honda has announced a 2015 model of the City in Pakistan, featuring i-VTEC Engine Technology for the first time, giving ire more horsepower with either and i-VTEC 1.3 or 1.5-litre engine. The new City is expected to retail Rs 1.5 and 1.8 million; in-built features include a redesigned bumper, a five-inch LCD system and embedded automatic steering controls.

In the international arena, Italian automaker Lamborghini is slated to reveal a convertible version of its Huracan, powered by a 602 horsepower, V10, 5.2-litre engine, with a price tag of $240,000 (Rs 24.1 million). The car will debut at the 2015 Geneva Auto Show, scheduled to begin on March 5.2-litre.

Last but not on the least, Ferrari will unveil a ‘race track only’ model of its most powerful hybrid ever, the La Ferrari, code named FXX-K. The Ferrari FXX-K is more powerful than its commercial, road-driven counterpart, with an unheard of V12 engine with 1035 horsepower. Only 40 models of this car will be available at the hefty cost of two million dollars (Rs 201 million).
