However, an FIR has been registered by the customs department against Asif Bilal who is a son of Haneef-ur-Rehman and a resident of Ittehad Colony, Peshawar. An FIR was recorded under Sections 2(s) and 32 of the Customs Act 1969 punishable under Clause 1, 8 and 14 of Section 156 (1).

This type of incidents have also emerged earlier as police had also seized several containers of smuggled liquor as well as embassies have also found to be involved in liquor smuggling. It is pertinent to mention that wine business is running successfully in Karachi as most of the wine shops are importing liquor from foreign countries. On the other hand, IG Islamabad has permitted to carry one bottle of wine and marijuana. People highly criticized this decision of IG Islamabad while claiming that wine should not be allowed in any case.
