How many channels will DTH provide? More than 250 I think when we will go to buy that we can get our choice of channels from thousand of list.

TO ALL of you! DTH services will begin in November 2017 after the auction, so till then we have to face these cable systems also depending of installation cost and per month charges many cable users may not jump over DTH immediately.

However PEMRA did gave deadlines to digitize cable by 31st October by installing digital setup box but cable opp’s did not market or educate their users at all , they only give unreliable details until you ask them yourself why they did this no idea.
Cable is much expensive less reliable fur users……they keep asking money for cable change……most of the time they did not show what we demands…..so ignore them, we don’t need them……..DTH is good.

It’s a technology base business and if you still surviving with old technology then u consider ur self lucky as other countries are way ahead. Cable operators should have upgraded to DTH couple of years back.
Its just an auction for licensing DTH to private companies. Their rates will be provided by the companies when they deploy the network.
Same happened with 4G auction. They sold the licenses first. Then the companies deployed the network. Then they released the packages to the public. Same will follow here.
What is the drawback of DTH service? Monthly fees and big onetime payment.
Indian DTH only has Indian channels. So Pakistani DTH will only have Pakistani channels. Or PEMRA approved channels. Which are not much. We will only be paying for the quality.
