Dr Waqar Ajmal, Special Representative of Bill Gates and Melinda Foundation for Afghanistan and Pakistan, met Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and delivered a letter of Bill Gates congratulating Nawaz Sharif on being elected as Prime Minister for third time. Bill Gates also expressed confidence in new Pakistani government that it will focus on the vaccination and eradication of deadly diseases including polio. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has also welcomed Bill Gates’s offer to support Government of Pakistan in health sector.
Recently Bill Gates through his emissary sought help from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan for eradicating polio from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
