Recently Department of Botany and Center for Plant Conservation of University of Karachi organized flower show. In which around 30 nurseries and companies participated. Around 400 students, teachers, professors, farmers and agriculturist visited stalls and purchased plants, fertilizer, pots, seeds and other related products.

Chairman of Botanic Department Prof. Dr. Syed Ehtesham-ul-Haq performed opening ceremony. At this moment Senior Professors, head of Botanic Administration Waseem Ahmed, Shafqat Ellahi, Director Research and Marketing of Go Organic, and other senior officers were also present. He told that it is the 5th annual flower show in this garden. I would like to pay thanks exhibitor, nurseries and companies.
Prof. Dr. Syed Ehtesham-ul-Haq stated that we want to promote organic culture in rural and urban gardening owing to which we organized this flower show. It is major step toward plantation and growers. We are providing a vibrant platform through stalls where they will display their products to get more attention of local and foreign investors. He briefed all sections of universities.
On the other hand students and public said that similar events should be held to develop consensus regarding plants, greeneries for the betterment of health and upcoming generations.
