Syed Shahid Pasha Biography & Political Profile

Syed Shahid Pasha is a well-known and active member of Muttahida Qaumi Movement who strongly believes in the ideological views of founder of MQM Altaf Hussain. He is a moderator, trainer, blogger, IT expert, reformer, political worker and educationist and has been striving hard for the development and prosperity in all important sectors of the country by working under the dynamic leadership of Altaf Hussain.

Career Profile:

Syed Shahid Pasha joined MQM in 1986 and played an important role in protesting against killing of innocent MQM workers at Sohrab Goth. He has attended 7 Fikri Nishast of Altaf Hussain in 1988 to 1991 and emerged as enthusiastic and passionate member of the party. He then appointed as Finance Secretary of Unit 145, F.B. Area Sector in 1989 and worked on the same post for two years with all his dedication. In 1992, he appointed as Nigran Unit Incharge of Unit 145, F.B. Area Sector and worked for few months as he got arrested due to some allegations for which he was kept in in Central Jail, Karachi for almost one year. He has also worked as secretary of UNICEF from 2003 to 2006.

However, he again restarted to work as Nigran Unit Incharge in 1993 and worked till three 1996. On 3^rd June 1996, he again arrested by the police and kept in Central Jail, Karachi till 25^th August 1997. After releasing from the jail, he appointed as Joint Sector Organizer of F.B.Area Sector and remained on the same post till 31^st December 2012. He has also remained a part of Election Cell n Study Circle Committee of Gulistan-e-Jauhar Sector from 19^th August 2005 to 26^th August 2007.

Moreover, he has also worked as Sector Organizer of Gulistan-e-Jauhar Sector from 2007 to 2009 as he has been serving as a worker of Unit A, Gulistan-e-Jauhar Sector since 2009.

Education:

MQM worker Syed Shahid Pasha completed her early education from different schools of Lahore and Karachi as he completed his matriculation from Govt. Federal Public Secondary School in Gulberg in 1982. He got admission in Federal Govt. Urdu Science College from where he completed his intermediate in 1986 in pre-engineering. He then started apprenticeship training (3 years diploma) in KESC as Control Room Engineer.

Shahid Pasha received his bachelor’s degree from University of Karachi in Education, Political Science & International Relations. However, he also did Masters in International Relations from the same university in Karachi.

He was born on 25^th February in Lahore. He is married.
