A committee of 25 members was appointed on 17th April 1972 to prepare a draft of the permanent constitution of Pakistan. Muhammad Ali Kasuri was elected chairman of the committee. On 20th October 1972 the draft bill of the constitution of Pakistan was signed by the leaders of all parliamentary groups of National Assembly. The bill was unanimously passed by
