It is mostly grown in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa especially at Mardan, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Swat and Peshawar. In Punjab, Faisalabad and Sahiwal districts are famous for maize production. Pulse: Different varieties of pulses are grown in the country. The most important pulse is gram. The rain-fed (Barani) areas of Mianwali and Sarghodha are famous for gram production.
