It reflects the ambitions, approach and the goal of a nation which it aims at achieving to take a respectable position in the international community. Pakistan has inherited educational system from the British who had drafted it according to their own requirements. There was a need to introduce effective changes in the existing educational system to accomplish the objectives of Islamization. Accordingly a new education policy was drafted in April 1979 and Islamic studies and Pakistan studies were made compulsory all over the country till the graduation level.
