All those Pakistanis who possess National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) would get registered in the Electoral Rolls. A high level meeting of Election Commission of Pakistan was held in Islamabad which decided to give rights to Pakistanis for voting and registering their names in electoral list. The voting mechanism has not yet been decided but few options of voting which included postal balloting; setting up polling booths in Pakistani embassies came into consideration.
