The Senate consists of 100 members who will be as under: Each PA will elect the 14 members belonging to the respective Provinces. Eight members shall be elected by the National Assembly (NA) from FATA. Four members shall be elected from the Federal Capital. Each Provincial Assembly shall elect four members to represent Ulema, technocrats and other professionals. According to clause 3 Art 59 of the 1943 Constitution, the Senate is a permanent body and cannot be dissolved. The term of its members shall be six years. One half of
