Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry took suo motu notice on the basis of appeals for military deployment in the city published in newspaper which has pleaded Chief Justice to take notice of the Karachi’s deteriorating security situation. The chief justice has also asked television channels to provide footage of violence in the city. Meantime, a petition has been filed in the apex court for the army deployment in the metropolis city.
