Police has arrested 17 population welfare employees after they, along with several others, staged a rally for their rights in front of the Civil Secretariat. The protesters had entered the secretariat forcibly and scuffled with security officials. In the recent few weeks many employees of different organisations have protested against Punjab government and have demanded different things from the government.
