Recently I read news that British telecommunication giant Vodafone has won 2.5 billion dollars tax case in India’s Supreme Court against Indian authorities. Indian authorities imposed the $2.5 billion tax bill and sought an equal sum in penalties over Vodafone’s $11.1 billion purchase in 2007 of a majority stake in the Indian mobile unit of Hong Kong’s Hutchison Whampoa. I wonder that if this would have happened in Pakistan than PPP led government would have criticised apex court openly and they would have also said that Supreme Court have rejected the chance of getting 2.5 billion dollar from foreign company

No Fight Between Army And Government: Gilani

It is not strange to see that Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani is talking weird. Now Mr. Gilani has said that after James Logan Jones affidavit there is now no worth of memogate issue and he also said that there is no rift between Government and Army. If there is no rift and both Government and Army are on same path than why in Supreme Court Army responded that memogate issue should be investigated whereas Government is not interested in the investigation. The simple thing is that if anyone is innocent that he can proof that he is not guilty

Relations Between Pakistan & India Improving

Relation between Pakistan and India is improving. This was stated by the foreign ministers of Pakistan and India. Pakistan foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar and his Indian counterpart S.M. Krishna arrived at a South Asian regional summit (SAARC) in the Maldives. Inidan Foreign Minister said that the trust deficit between two countries is shrinking and both the countries should look for a joint strategy against terrorism. He added that India’s relationship with Pakistan is more stable now. Pakistan foreign Minister Hina Rabbani also said that the environment between two countries has improved ahead of bilateral talks between Pakistan Prime Minister

$500 Million Grant Announced For Pakistan Steel Mills By Russia

Russia has announced $500 million for Pakistan Steel Mills. It was announced when Prime Minister of Pakistan Yousaf Raza Gilani met Prime Minister of Russia Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the 10th Heads of Government meeting of the SCO. The amount will be spent on the restoration of Pakistan Steel Mills which will help in expansion and repair of machineries at Pakistan Steel Mills. The Pakistan Steel Mill is the country’s largest industrial undertaking having a production capacity of 1.1 million tonnes of steel. After this grant it is expected that the production capacity will increase to 1.5 million
