Taliban Commander Jalaluddin Haqqani Died

Jalaluddin-HaqqaniPeshawar: A Supreme commander of Haqqani network Jalaluddin has died as according to the Peshawar Bureau Chief, Taliban sources have confirmed the death of Jalaluddin Haqqani. The news of the death of Jalaluddin Haqqani has also appeared in the past but those news could not be verified.

Jalaluddin Haqqani was known as a key commander of Taliban and his name is included in the US list of wanted persons. Several Taliban sources confirmed the death of Jalaluddin while saying that he died in Afghanistan as he was suffering from physical reasons for almost one year. He was then buried in the Khost province of Afghanistan.

Remember that two days before the death of Taliban leader Mullah Omar was also confirmed after which Mullah Mansoor is set as the new chief of the Afghan Taliban. However, Jalaluddin Haqqani’s son Sirajuddin Haqqani has been running Haqqani network since one year due to illness of his father Jalaluddin.

Although, no official statement has appeared from the militant group over the death of Jalaluddin Haqqani. Haqqani network was formed in 1980s by Jalaluddin Haqqani. He also remained the Minister of Borders and Tribal Affairs and governor of Paktia province. He was born in 1939 in the Zadran district of Paktia provionce.
