\"\"<\/a>In October 1958 iskander mirza declared Martial law and the constitution was abolished. General Mohammad Ayub Khan was at this time, the commander-in-chief of the army.
A cabinet of 12 members selected by the president was formed. Shortly afterwards, Iskander Mirza was remove from office and Ayub Khan became president. He stayed in power for the next ten years.<\/p>
