The international system that emerged after the Second World War was characterized by cold war and tight bipolarity. The foreign policy of the first few years of the existence of Pakistan can be labeled as the non-aligned years, because Pakistan was essentially trying to maintain neutrality in the ongoing cold war during this period.<\/p>
