After the death of Shah Waliullah his son and successor, Shah Abdul Aziz, succeeded him in assuming the educational, spiritual and political leadership of the Muslims, who was only 17 years old at the death of his father. The followers of Shah Waliullah, however, accepted him as their leader, because he had the intellectual capacity necessary for a leader in those turbulent times.<\/p>
