London airport authorities took 7 crewmembers of PIA into custody as two members got released after investigation. However authorities recovered huge amount of currency and numerous insured mobile phones from the luggage of the crewmembers. Sources claimed that PIA airplane was used to fly to Karachi with only seven crewmembers. On the other hand, PIA spokesperson has rejected the news of recovered currency and cellphones from the crewmembers while saying that the crew was stopped by the border security force for interrogation.
Spokesperson also told that crewmembers named as Saadia Nabeel, Mohammad Ahmad, Owais Ahmed, Fareeha Mukhtar and Tauseef Ahmad have released after questioning and they have returned to Karachi on their flight too. Although PIA has faced several investigation and inquiry in order to violate regulatory procedures. It is pertinent to mention that PIA has received Yellow Card from London’s Heathrow airport authorities for violating laws of the United Kingdom.
