World Bank To Provide Complete Assistance For Sindh Projects

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah met World Bank country director Mister Patchamuthu Illangovan (Illango). They discussed different projects like old city projects, food, solar system projects and other projects during exchanging views.

He requested from country director to re establish Sukkur Barrage as soon as possibleWorld Bank country chief said that we have to take support and proper guidelines from qualified engineer.

Sindh water improvement phase-1 project is under construction with financial assistance from the World Bank. The purpose of this project to enhance long term sustainability of agriculture system, modernize of drainage and rehabilitation management with effective detailed diagnostic studies. It would lead to increase agriculture production, employment and income.

The project is mixture of reforms includes civil activities, improve rehabilitation and drainage system. This project would be helpful to resolve flood issues in province as well as to meet the future requirements of irrigation system in Sindh.
