Important Aspects of National Educational Policy 1998-2010

Every citizen of Pakistan will be able to get education as it is the right of every citizen. By the year 2010, the enrolment of primary age group (5-9) will be raised to 105% in order to illiteracy from the country. By 2004-05, a compulsory primary education act will be promulgated.

In addition to general education, a separate stream of matric (technical) will be started to promote vocational education. Technological and scientific knowledge will be expanded by introducing computer education as a subject at secondary level and beyond.

The teacher training institutions will be fully used to train teachers. The curricula of teachers’ education will be revised.
