Population Welfare Department Employees Stages Protest In Lahore

Dozens of family members of population welfare department employees held a protest rally in Lahore, demanding Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to order release of those arrested about two months ago. Police has arrested 17 population welfare employees after they, along with several others, staged a rally for their rights in front of the Civil Secretariat.

The protesters had entered the secretariat forcibly and scuffled with security officials.

In the recent few weeks many employees of different organisations have protested against Punjab government and have demanded different things from the government. Young Doctor Association protest in Punjab also created lot of mess in the biggest province of Pakistan.
