It’s a dilemma with us. It’s not that we are submitting our values or the media has become shameless. What we are lacking is the awareness that we have better things to do, to show and to act upon. We lack the knowledge of our values thus we are changing our norms. Where else in this globe we have a country or society, where the markets don’t open before noon. In all the other countries of the world people are out for work at 7or 8 in the morning so that they reach the workplace in time. Continued….from the previous post, which was sent by mistake, erroneously…..

…..work places in the morning. A vast majority is starting the day well after noon, some of them well after the zohur time. TV, cable and other types of video attachment, which started in the late seventies with the import of vcr’s, has totally corrupted our culture, without we realising it. We need to address this. Serious thoughts should be given to address this problem. Indian media, Indian films, Indian culture and other imported, rather smuggled, influences will automatically vanish from our society when we involve ourselves in other productive activities. We need to think on that. Media will also be showing only those things, which will be productive in nature, contributing to the improvement of our society and economy. For the time being, there is no activity, everybody seems to be involved only in useless gossip and is in the process of enlarging the useless grapevine of politics and boosting the Indian film industry, directly or indirectly. Media is as much responsible in this as much as the individual ! Media alone can not be blamed. Government should try to start some programmes instead, which should induce the public, persuade the audience to stop wasting time and consume the work hours in positive manner. Religion could also play a major role, specially in case of Pakistan, where a great majority is already religious, but has to be taught the right way to spend time, specially with introduction to strict discipline to start the day, at the time of fajar, when we start this campaign at home with our ownselves and with a gentle manner with our children and servants. I can assure you people that more than half of our problems, of all sorts, could be solved with this endeavour. Other things should also be considered to solve this problem as to how to spend time in a positive manner rather than watching useless TV / video shows, of Bollywood or Hollywood !
