He resigned from CEO post and joined Tehreek-e-Insaf in April, 2012 and has been appointed as Central Senior Vice President of PTI. Asad Umar was born in Rawalpindi in 1961, his father was in Pakistan Army and many of his family members have remained in the miltarty.
