Who Is Asad Umar? New PTI Leader

Asad Umar is the latest inclusion in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, but unlike other political leaders he is one of the most credible businessman in Pakistan. He has never represented any political party in elections. Asad Umar was CEO of Engro Corporation. He resigned from CEO post and joined Tehreek-e-Insaf in April, 2012 and has been appointed as Central Senior Vice President of PTI.

Asad Umar was born in Rawalpindi in 1961, his father was in Pakistan Army and many of his family members have remained in the miltarty. Asad Umar has done MBA from Institute of Business Administration, Karachi in 1984.

Asad Umar was the highest paid CEO in Pakistan as he was receiving 5.7 million Rupees. Famous host Kamran Khan also appreciated Asad Umar entry in politics. Young supporters of Imran Khan has said that this is a very good for PTI as people want new and credible faces in the party and not same old politicians of other political parties
