Few Schools Holiday On 22nd October (8th Muharram) in Karachi

In account of martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A), few schools of Karachi have announced holiday on 8th Muharram (22nd October) while some will remain open on 22nd October. However no notification has been issued by Federal Government regarding public holiday on 8th Muharram but some schools have decided to remain close on 8th Muharram due to security reasons. It is worth mentioning here that government is used to announce public holidays from 8th Muharram to 10th Muharranm in order to maintain security for mourning processions of Muharram. Private Schools In Karachi, Sindh To Open On 11th August

Karachi: All government and private schools in Karachi will be open from 11th of August according to a statement of spokesperson of Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah. He also said while denying the reopening of schools from 3rd August that a notification has also issued regarding opening of schools few days ago. Qaim Ali Shah’s spokesperson further added that strict action will be taken against those schools who will not follow the orders. However the statement emerged just after the reports that authorities will arrest those who will violate the orders as well as they will also face imprisonment

Sindh Government Announces Holiday On 4th April

Karachi: Government of Sindh declared a holiday on April 4 in order to honor the 33rd death anniversary of the Pakistan Peoples Party founder leader Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. The Sindh Govt. added public holiday in the year whereas from now on 4th April will be a public holiday. A statement said that all offices working under the provincial government along with courts and educational institutions will remain closed on Friday.
