Bangladesh Blogger Murder, Pakistani Bloggers Not Worried

Dhaka: Two bloggers have been murdered by the banned group named Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT) which is famous for the killing of bloggers. However, the head of ABT, Abul Bashar, was arrested by Bangladesh security force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)  in case of killing of two bloggers in Bangladesh.

A spokesman of RAB Mufti Mahmud Khan told that two more members Julhas Biswas and Jafran al Hasan of ABT group was also arrested in Dhaka in this case as these three militants of ABT are involved in the murder of two bloggers named as Avijit Roy and Ananta Bijoy Das. It is pertinent to mention that four materialistic bloggers have been killed in Bangladesh earlier this year as international condemnation and protests are occurring in the city from the people belonging from bloggers’ religion.

Although, the President of ABT, Abul Bashar is known as prominent figure in Bangladesh who has arrested in the murders of four bloggers during this year. Meanwhile, Abul Bashar got arrested when several suspects of Islamist militants were arrested in the last few weeks in murder cases.

On the other hand, Major of RAB, Kamran Kabir further told that suspects in murder case of bloggers were arrested from the Fakirerpool neighborhood in the capital as they were all set to escape from the country.[alert style=”white”]Abul Bashar is the main suspect behind the bloggers’ murders among the two arrested suspects, Kabir told.[/alert]

Moreover, Kamran Kabir told that the 43-years old Bashar has been heading the ABT group when his brother and the founder of this group was arrested in the year 2013 in the murder case of another blogger named as Ahmed Rajib Haider.

However, RAB termed the arrest of Abdul Bashar as major success of the security force as Bashar is responsible for the murders of several bloggers in Bangladesh.

Blogger Avijit Roy was a US based citizen lived in Bangladesh got murdered in February this year while Ananta Bijoy Das was killed on 13th May, in the northeastern city of Sylhet when he was going for his job. In this regard, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has promised to bring justice to the killed bloggers as soon as possible.

Most of the bloggers in Pakistan do not know about these murders of bloggers in Bangladesh as well as there are no life threats to bloggers in Pakistan.
