Mr Amir Inayat Khan Shahani is a member of 16th Assembly whose tenure is 2013-till date. He belongs to constituency PP-50(Bhakkar-IV). He is affiliated with Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) lead by a renowned businessman turned politician Mian Muhammad Nawaz Shareef. He is a member of Education.

His uncle Amanullah Khan Shahani has held various official positions in National Assemble of Pakistan in the years 1962-1965, 1965-1968, 1977, 1985-1988. His cousin Naeemullah Khan Shahani has also held positions in Provincial Assembly of Punjab 3 times. One from 1990-1993, 1997-1999 and 2002-2007.
He is a great fond of cricket and has played a great role in making cricket famous in Bhakkar. He has travelled across the world for watching cricket matches.
