Climatic Regions Of Pakistan

The long lasting condition of weather in a particular place, e.g., air pressure, temperature, humidity and rainfall are termed as climate. Pakistan has been divided into the following for climatic region on the basis of its climate.

Sub-tropical Continental Highland Location:

It includes Pakistan’s northern mountain ranges (outer and central Himalayas) north western mountain ranges (Waziristan, Zhob and Loralai) and the mountain ranges of Balochistan (Quetta, Sarawan, Jalawan and central Makran). The winter is extremely long and cold. There is normally snow fall rainfall and fog. The summer is quite short cool.

Rainfall: some parts of this area have rains all the year round, e.g. Outer Himalayas, Murree and Hazara. Most of the rains happen at the end of the summer season.

Sub-tropical Continental Plateau Location: Most parts of Balochistan are included in this climatic region. Sibbi and Jacobacd are also located in this region.
