The educational system occupies a key position in the nation building process. It reflects the ambitions, approach and the goal of a nation which it aims at achieving to take a respectable position in the international community.
Pakistan has inherited educational system from the British who had drafted it according to their own requirements. There was a need to introduce effective changes in the existing educational system to accomplish the objectives of Islamization.
Accordingly a new education policy was drafted in April 1979 and Islamic studies and Pakistan studies were made compulsory all over the country till the graduation level. These subjects were also included as compulsory subjects in central superior services examination & in training courses of police establishment.
