Millions of people from all around the world are searching about cosmo rays on the internet and are discussing with each other. The fake news related to cosmo rays has make a comeback again after almost three years when the same cosmo rays haunted thousands of people at that time also.
Neither BBC nor NASA has released any news related to cosmo rays and it is only a rumour. There is no truth in the news that cosmo rays are entering earth from mars at 12:30 am.
Three years ago one person answered on yahoo that “There is no such thing as cosmo rays…..cosmic rays come from stars like the sun and sometimes they burn my cheese sandwiches” The fake message, news, SMS related to cosmo rays which is circulated is as follows:
Tonight 12:30 am to 3:30 am cosmo rays entering earth from mars. So switch off your mobile at night. Don’t keep your cell with you & put it away while you are sleeping because they are too much dangerous rays: NASA informs BBC NEWS. Plz spread this news.
I searched ON NASA web page and on latest space and science news, the Cosmo rays is indeed a rumor. Someone received this message from a friend on a blackberry messenger and he or she wanted to know if its true,so they posted the news on the internet.I am replying from Windhoek ,Namibia and this rumor seems to be everywhere.I also received the message. I have a theory to present.Here is my hypothesis:Someone send the Cosmo rays message on the 1st of April to a friend,they didn’t want to make it obvious since 1st April is a fools Day,to make this believable, they make a joke three day after April Fools Day(1st of April 2012).

This rumor has been spread even here in the Philippines. I just received the message right now (10:50 pm) and the text message contains what you’ve just posted. Thank god I googled it.. I am almost fooled by it. Happy April Fool’s Day, if that’s the case.

My dad just calls me and orders i switch off my phone this night (April 3). No reason given. I then stumble on this cosmic rays thing on a friend’s FB page and deside to google, not out of doubt but for more information. Now i know better….. Information is key!

its not true! i researched everywhere! i looked to websites and yet, no news. The news spread in the Philippines too … saying that we should turn of our phone and stay away from it so we wont be harmed by it…
I just received such a message but its just lies. First the Mars is not a star.Only stars n the sun undergo nuclear reactions. Furthermore the Earth has magnetosphere which is able to reduce the effect of cosmic rays.
i got the messge last night and i called 2 warn evryone i knw,i wasted much of my credit,but anyway i shld ave worked hard in science while i was at school!!!!!!!
I JUST RECEIVED SMS HERE IN TANZANIA WITH THE SAME CONTENT, BUT I WENT ALL OVER THE WEB – NOTHING SEEMS TO SUPPORT THIS STUPID RUMOR.

When i receive this message in Tanzania. My mind not accepts this as a truth. Then I searched on internet and i read many articles and after that i also visit the NASA web site and i find that there is no threat about cosmic rays. its just a rumour.
