- Diploma: Polytechnic colleges hold diploma courses in electrical, mechanical, automobile, civil engineering and computer trades. SSC pass students take admission in diploma courses. A certificate is issued after 3 years.
- Engineering Degree: Engineering colleges or universities give BE degrees to students passing HSC (pre- engineering group) in electrical, mechanical, chemical, electronics, mining, textile, petroleum and computer science trades. The duration of B.E degrees is 4-5 years.
- Medical Degree: Medical colleges or universities give MBBS degrees to student passing HSC (pre-medical group). The duration of MBBS course is 5 years.
- Commerce Degree: SSC pass students take admission in commerce colleges to get inter commerce.
