Lahore:Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) Dr Azeemuddin Zahid Lakhvi announced to join Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leaving PML-N on Saturday after meeting the prominent figures of Kasur district alongwith Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi and Moonis Elahi at their residence.
It is pertinent here to mention that Jamat Ahle Hadith has become an important ally of PML of which Dr.Azeemuddin is a member.Many other notable people belonging from political parties have also announced to leave PML-N and join PML-Q after the meeting.
Dr.Azeemuddin and Sardar Waqas Moakal were announced as the candidates by the deputy Prime Minister and Pakistan Muslim League Senior Central Leader Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi while he addressed the meeting.The meeting was attended by former Nazims,Naib Nazims,political leaders and well known people belonging from various sectors.
Pervaiz Elahi thanked Dr.Azeemuddin and said that his joining in the party would further strengthen PML-Q politically and religiously.Jamat Ahle Hadith would always remain an important ally of the party and the step taken by Dr.Azeemuddin has fostered relations between the two party members,said the leader.
