Election Commission of Pakistan Gives Non-Muslims Voters Stats

elections 2013 boxIslamabad: A Recent report from Election Commission of Pakistan has been issued regarding minorities votes in Pakistan. According to report, Unity of minorities will effect on couple of National and Provincial Assemblies seats. Almost all Political Parties are also trying to grab these voters.  Thousands of Hindu religion followers are living in Pakistan especially interior Sindh. Christians have strong hold in Punjab but after recent incident of Badami Bagh in Lahore, the Christian Community is not looking happy with federal and provincial government.

These Non-Muslim voters will be play vital role in 15 different districts for election 2013. Umerkot District is famous area where minorities have strong hold. Over 1 Lac 79 thousand non-Muslims are living here, a media report said. On international level, a common perception about Pakistan’s legislation for minorities is very bad and many countries are asking our leaders to provide security to non-Muslims. In this scenario, votes of Hindus, Christians and other religious groups can change results of some seats.
