Former Minister Yar Muhammad Rind Detained for Taking Extortion

Karachi: Former Minster for States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) Yar Muhammad Rind has arrested for taking extortion in his area from foreign Oil Companies as Singh government has also issued orders to arrest former minister’s son in this regard. According to the details, Yar Muhammad Rind and his son are involved in taking extortion in Jabbal from foreign Oil and Gas Companies.

According to the Interior Department, foreign Oil and Gas Companies wrote a letter to Sindh Government in which they asked security from Yar Muhammad Rind and his son. It is worth mentioning here that former minister Yar Muhammad Rind asked Rs.2 Crore in the name of extortion on monthly basis from oil and gas companies in Jabbal.

Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind who is affiliated with Pakistan Muslim League is an agriculturist by profession. He elected MNA for NA-267 in 2002 elections in order to serve as the Federal Minister for Food, Agriculture and Livestock. He selected to the Senate in 1985 as well as he also worked as Chairman District Council for Kachhi in 1993. He became member of National Assembly for the three times in 1990, 1993 and 1997.
