The recent news that management of National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) has imposed a ban on wearing jeans/tight in university premises and has also made mandatory for female students to wear ‘dupatta’ was criticized by many people on twitter and Faebook. Some of the leading media groups also criticized this step of NUST.
Scores of female students tweeted that they never thought that NUST was following Taliban ideology and some even stated that NUST is Taliban Markaz.
I am amazed by these comments as it looks that these female students don’t know that how western countries are facing problems because of exposing dresses wear by students in universities. Western countries have strict law and order but sexual assaults, rapes are on high rise in these countries and the main reason is that because of this type of exposure of women it provokes men to attack them.
