Imran Khan Vs Ghulam Ahmad Bilour On NA-1 Seat

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan will contest elections from NA-1, Peshawar-I constituency on 11th May General Elections. On this same seat Awami National Party (ANP) senior leader and former federal minister Haji Ghulam Ahmad Bilour will also contest elections.

Apart from these two politicians Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Zulfiqar Afghani, ANP leader Haroon Ahmad Bilour, Hazrat Mohammad alias Babu Mauvia and Pir Abdur Rehman of Mutahidda Deeni Mahaz (MDM) will alos contest from this seat and have filed nomination papers. Independent candidate Advocate Hidayatullah Afridi has also field nomination paper.

In 2008 General Elections Haji Ghulam Ahmad Bilour won elections with 44210 votes whereas Ayub Shah of PPP bagged 37682 votes and was runners up.

In 2002 General Elections Shabir Ahmad of Muttahidda Majlis-e-Amal Pakistan won NA-1 seat with 37179 votes, ANP .Usman Bashir Bilour was runners up with 23002 votes. Sajid Abdullah of PTI was at third with 2029 votes.
