A native named as Ramesh Chandra found that there is a stamped message in Urdu on a pigeon’s tail after which his son went to the nearest police station by taking that spy pigeon along with him. Police after seeing that suspicious bird took it to the hospital in Pathankot for an X-ray but no clue has been emerged after the X-ray too. However Pathankot senior superintendent of police (SSP) Rakesh Kaushal decided to keep that white pigeon of Pakistan into the custody while declaring as “suspected spy”. Police had also contacted to intelligence and security agencies Border Security Force (BSF) and Intelligence Bureau (IB) in this regard.
It is worth mentioning here that pigeon had a message “Tehsil Shakargarh, district Narowal” on its tail as well as had a Pakistani seal. A bird was caught when an inter-state meeting on security was held between officials of Punjab Police and Indian Army.
