Indian Distributors Decline To Screen Pakistani Movies

pakistani films indiaLahore: The Indian distributors despite signing off an agreement with Pakistan for screening their movies have shown ‘red-signal’ to carry with contract after the tensions persisting at LoC between the two neighboring countries. After which considerable decline in screening of the Pakistani movies has been witnessed.

According to the details of the sources, Indian distributors had signed agreement to screen international movies but now they have declined to screen the scheduled movies. ‘The decision has been made pertaining to the tensions at the border and the opposition by the extremist groups,’ source.
The sources said that India and Pakistan are getting into weak ties everyday; it would be loss to screen Pakistani movies. They have expressed fear that the extremist Hindu vandals groups would kill the Indian distributors.

On contrary, Pakistani importers with out any restrictions and hesitations continue to promote Indian culture, fashion, dramas and films in the country through cables, internet services and screenings on the cinema malls.

Indian opposition groups have hostile attitude in Pakistan, in every way. The have had been violating the terms and conditions for past several years but no stern action by the Pakistani government has been taken in this regard. Still, our media industry, news channels are busy in highlighting their news items, bringing stories from fashion, dramas, film, interviews, actors, actresses and even the local happenings.

Even in markets, from fruits, vegetables to selling of wedding dresses all is labeled with India. Do we deserve to be humiliated more? Being declined to get space in their markets, in their homes, why do we Pakistanis run after them? The social institutions, the government and media need to play effective role in eliminating the ‘imposed’ Indians in our country.
