Islamabad Sector F-11 – Trendy Living

Located a 10-minute drive away from Islamabad’s city centre, Sector F-11 is one of the city’s recently established suburban neighbourhoods and one of the most expensive. Home to the elite… F-11 has been home to high ranking government officials and diplomats since it was established in 2002. The area can lay claim to houses both large and small, all of which exhibit contemporary architecture and manicured lawns, in addition to a significant number of well-maintainers apartment complexes (something of a rarity in Islamabad). If you are considering moving there you will also find several parks, well-reputed schools, hospitals and banks.

Something for everyone… Located in the middle of the sector is the F-11 Markaz which more than takes care of the daily grocery needs of residents, with something for everyone; be the bakeries, retail stores, fitness centres, salons and spas. Several malls ,including Olympus Mall and MOI are under construction there.

Trendy dining options…. Over the last three to four years, Sector F-11 has gained popularity among Islamabad’s younger set thanks to an increasing number of trendy coffee shops and restaurants, including Cafe Lebalto, Coffee Planet, Gloria Jean’s, Kyoto Lounge and Rock Bottom Cafe. So if you are young (or young at heart) and you want to see and be seen, head to these. However, if you are on a budget, you can choose from a host of restaurants, be it 24 Hours Food, Cock & Bull, Dawat or Juicy Gossips.

The real estate take…. Property prices and rentals are among the highest in Islamabad (although not as expensive as Sectors F-6 and F-7), and have increased by nearly 50% in the last six years. The Sector is almost completely built-up and vacant plots are limited. Residential property options include houses as well as apartments; several high end apartment complexes are under construction.

In a nutshell… Relatively safe and peaceful, not to mention upscale and trendy, Sector F-11 is an ideal neighbourhood to live in.
